8. Cannabis Destygmatised – Legislation and Harm Reduction – Natalie O’ Regan

This talk takes place on the eve of the 2nd Weekend of the Citizen’s Assembly and we sat down with someone who has been very active, keeping a legal eagle eye on the proceedings, Law Graduate and proud Cork Woman Natalie O’ Regan.

Natalie is a weekly contributor to ‘The Cannabis Review’. A Champion of Harm Reduction, she is to be found writing across many channels. The essence of our great “Mná na hÉireann” tradition of Volunteering, Natalie is rarely seen without a Hi Viz jacket assisting members of the public across a range of actions locally in her Cork home assisting with everything from Tidy Towns to ‘Darkness into Light’.

In the chat we discuss her involvement in the 2022 Electric Picnic Pilot of a Harm Reduction Tent which took place in collaboration with the HSE and brilliant NGOs ‘Help Not Harm’ and ‘PsyCare Ireland’.

She always brings a very sober, youthful and pragmatic opinion to the Cannabis debate in Ireland and this is another fantastic discussion.
